Acting Private Lessons with Maya

Maya Valenciano is a Filipino-American performer who has worked professionally in regional theaters all around Southern California. She first started out at the age of seven in the world of community theater, and never looked back. Her childhood was spent in the familiar nostalgic must of a children’s repertory theater in Fullerton, and spent most of her time in studio acting classes, dance rooms, and lengthy rehearsals. By high school, Maya was already performing at community colleges and professional regional theaters while also performing in her high school’s productions and competing in singing competitions. She continued her education and training at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, graduating with her BA in Theater/Musical Theater. That all leads to today, where she works as a classically trained vocalist and performer, and finds a special joy in tap dance, Shakespeare, and jazz.
